Loughborough Sport signs kit deal with Kukri
L to R Alan Buzza - Performance Sport Manager at Loughborough University, Adam Rae - Athletic Union President at Loughborough Students Union, Will Hemming - Universities Manager at Kukri GB Ltd and Richard Hall - Sports Information Manager at Loughborough University.
Loughborough University and Loughborough Students Union are celebrating after signing a major new kit deal with leading sports company Kukri.
The agreement is a landmark moment for sport at Loughborough, as for the first time all of the representative teams will play in the same colours and designs.
The three year deal will be rolled out in time for the start of the 2012-13 academic year.
The agreement with Kukri has been made possible thanks to the development of the new Loughborough Sport brand that has unified sport on campus.
Chris Earle, Director of Sport at Loughborough University said:
“I am delighted that we have signed this deal with Kukri. It has been an ambition of ours to ensure that we put a centralised kit solution in place for all of the clubs.
“Not only will this deal improve the quality and value for money of our kit, but also as our teams will be playing in a unified visual identity which will only reinforce our position as the number one University for sport in the UK.”
Will Hemming, Universities Manager at Kukri said:
“We are absolutely delighted to have been chosen as Loughborough University’s kit partner. As such a dominant force in University and College sport, the opportunity to work with Loughborough at the launch of their new brand is very exciting for us, and we are looking forward to seeing it in action over the next three years.”
Adam Rae, President of the Athletic Union at Loughborough Students’ Union said:
“It’s a massively exciting time for all involved in Loughborough Sport. I’m very much looking forward to a successful three years with Kukri. In terms of the students, reduced cost and better delivery mean it’s a winner and finally we will all look the part!”
Kukri was chosen by Loughborough Sport due to their track record delivering large multi sport apparell contracts, and their overall impressive commitment to working with Loughborough as a major partner.
